The Captain of Ilorin Golf Club, Layi Malik has called on the entire members of the club to give their unflinching support to the newly elected executives of the club.

Malik made the call in Ilorin the Kwara state capital in his acceptance speech after being re-elected as captain of the club on Thursday at the club house.

To emerge the winner, he polled a total vote of forty-two while his opponent, Engineer Umar Idiaro scored Thirty -two votes.

In other positions contested, Kazeem Adeyemo defeated Johnson Oyedemi for the post of treasurer while Tony Gbegbaje defeated Deji Akinboyewa for the post of House Officer; Paul Adache beat Mustapha Maliki to the post of Caddy Officer.

Other officers elected unopposed are , Segun Oyinlola as Vice Captain, Fatai Dankazeem as Secretary , Kunle Oyebanji as Competition Secretary , Stephen Micheal as Handicap Secretary .

In his remark, the Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr Jide Allen thanked members for their cooperation towards delivering a free, fair and credible election.

The newly elected committee will be in the office for another one year.
