Buhari's US Visit Will Help Nigeria's Developmental Efforts - KSU VC, Na'Allah
The Vice-chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Abdulrasheed Na'Allah has expressed belief that the official visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the United States of America would greatly assist the developmental efforts of his government to recover and strengthen the nation's ailing economy.
Speaking with journalists during the International Research Workshop on Content Analysis & Communication Audits organised by the Mass communication Department of the university in Ilorin, yesterday, Na'Allah said the visit was prompted by the strong belief of President Obama that President Buhari would successfully fight corruption and insecurity among other problems he inherited.
"The visit is because President Barrack Obama believes that with the support of United States of America,President Muhammadu Buhari, with his pedigree and steps taken so far, could restore Nigeria and, indeed, Africa on the path of expected greatness," he said.
The VC, however, expressed concern that many states of the federation could not pay workers salaries despite the nation's abundant resources. He described the development as a big shame.
Speaking on the theme of the seminar, Professor Na'Allah harped on the need for effective communication as a necessity for national development. He stressed that many developing countries of the world failed because of lack of effective communication among the stakeholders, adding that through effective communications, many problems would be solved.
