Kwara identifies reason for delay in October salary payment

The Kwara Government has attributed delay of fund from the federation account as factor responsible for the delay in the payment of October workers' salary in the state.

The Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Local Government, Hajia Kikeloma Amasa who disclosed this in llorin during October Joint Allocation Committee meeting said the government would continue to ensure that the interest of Workers remained paramount in its policy thrust.

Amasa who is also the Acting Chairman of the Committee said the shortfall in the allocation from the Federation Account was making it difficult for state governments to meet their commitment.

As reported by Royal Times correspondent, the Permanent Secretary however called on the Federal Government to urgently address the dwindling allocation from the Federation Account to enable state governments meet their obligations to the people.
