Unilorin approves N8m to improve power supply on campus
The Governing Council of the University of Ilorin in Kwara State has approved N8 million for a power line for the institution, as part of efforts to ensure stable supply of electricity.
Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali disclosed this in Ilorin while receiving members of the academic community in his office. ''The council has graciously approved N8 million for us to get a dedicated power line from the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) which would drastically improve power supply in the university.Even if you have state-of-the-art equipment and you don’t have constant power supply, especially for science-based research, your efforts may come to nought," he said.
