According to the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold, who made the announcement in a statement, the decision to set up the committee follows a complaint from the state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) alleging staff deployment and posting on grounds of religion.

The fact-finding committee is headed by Alhaji Yusuf Kawu Daibu, former Head of Service. Other members are Alh. S. A Musa, Alh. Saliu Baba Arowolo, Mr. B. S Fatigun, Mr. Olatunji Fagbemi, Mr. David Adeshina and Mrs. Dupe Oluwole, secretary.

Alhaji Gold said the committee's terms of reference include to determine the positions/postings that are considered advantaged, determine the current positing of officers by religious faith and senatorial district and to determine the competence that may have informed the postings. He said the committee is also mandated to make appropriate recommendations to address perceived injustice or preferential postings, if any.

According to the SSG, the committee which will be inaugurated by the Deputy Governor, Elder Peter Kisira on Monday, has six weeks to submit its report.
