The Vice Chairman of the community, Mr. Vincent Eze, said there was a robbery attack about 3am on Thursday at the upper area of the community. He added that the robbers fled after being overpowered by some member of the community.

According to him, Atiwayejayo who lived within the area and worked at Odota was later in the morning found dead, with blood oozing from his nose while his body and head were riddled with bullets. Atiwayejayo, an indigene of Ibadan, Oyo State, was married and had two children. He was buried on Thursday.

Eze said that the incident was reported at B Police Division, Surulere, Ilorin. The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ezekiel Dabo said he had yet to be briefed about the incident.
