Press Release: Emulate the Prophet - Gov Ahmed charges Muslims

Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on Muslims to imbibe the virtues of humanity, love and kindness as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed whose birthday is being celebrated on the occasion of eid-el-maolud.

Governor Ahmed, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba said these were some of the qualities that endeared Prophet Muhammed to humanity of all races and faith.

The Governor also urged Muslims and Nigerians at large to use the occasion for sober reflection on the State of affairs of Nigeria.

 “Nigerians, irrespective of our religious and ethnic diversity must at occasions like this, and always, reflect on issues that can strengthen our nationhood”, he added.

The Governor urged muslims and Nigerians at large to  pray for good governance and inter religious harmony in the country.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring equity and justice in the pursuit of programmes that will enhance the welfare of the people as well as deepen religious harmony in the State.
