To achieve this, Ahmad disclosed that an expanded meeting would be convened immediately after Sallah vacation which would include the Executive, Legislature and NUT, NULGE and other stakeholders to permanently fashion out ways to address the salary issue.

Describing the present situation as unfortunate, he said though Kwara was not the only state affected by the issue of constant dropping of allocation from the Federal account but however government has been making efforts to get out of the challenges.

?The Speaker explained that it was after thorough deliberation that government decided to pay some amount of money to the affected workers in order to reduce the effect particularly as Muslims were preparing for Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

He noted that the state government's decision to take over payment of the Junior Secondary School teachers salary was one of several means being deliberated on to reduce salary burden on the local governments.
