Kick-off was delayed for about 25 minutes because of a complaint by Afonja Warriors players that they feared for their lives. They said they had been attacked by some hoodlums, a claim which the Akure Gunners via an Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) top boss vehemently denied.
