Express Your View Through Nigeria Children's Parliament, Ahmes. Advises Children
As part of efforts to promote education and ensure sound academic delivery in Kwara State, the Kwara State Government has advised children to utilise the Nigeria Children Parliament which was institutionalized to express their view in order to enable government incorporate such in its agenda.
The State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Saka Onimago who made the counsel at the twenty thirteen Children’s Day Celebration held at the metropolitan square, encouraged parents to monitor their wards, noting that collective responsibility is needed for children’s training.
He however reiterated government’s commitment towards ensuring that every child realize his or her potential by protecting their right and ensure girl-child education in order to reduce early marriage, maternal mortality and domestication.
A correspondent who was at the event reports that the State Commissioner for Woman Affair, Mrs Comfort Afolayan his early message said the team for this year celebration titled “Our Children, Our Future: Our Collective Responsibility was enough to enable parents guide all action by the best interest of children.
She however urged parents, guidance and teachers to take effective training of children as first priority.
It is reported that Police Children School Kulende came first at Primary school level, while Government Day Secondary School Adewole came first at secondary school level in the match-pass that was organised for children.
