Residents call for intervention over land dispute in Kwara
Residents of Odo-Owa in Oke-Ero local government has appealed to the state House of Assembly to urgently intervene in the land dispute between the town and Osi-town to avoid imminent breakdown of law and order.
The residents in a letter to the house through a member representing Oke-ogun constituency, Barrister KamaldeenFagbemi said the intervention will do a great favour on the local government.
Barrister Fagbemi who presented the petition through a legal practitioner, Barrister BisiAtolagbe, said timely intervention of the House would assist to settle the dispute amicably.
The speaker, Barrister RasakAtunwa committed the petition to the House committee on Local Governmentand Chieftaincy Affairs and directed it to report on 21st March, 2012.
