Date: 2024-12-05

As part of its efforts to provide free services to the community, the Association of Resident Doctors, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (ARD UITH), has organised a free medical and eye surgery outreach at the Model Primary Healthcare Centre along old Jeba road, Oke-Oseorin, Kwara State, as reported by Business Day.

The outreach is part of the Association's activities to mark its 41st Annual General Meeting/Sir Adebola Aderibigbe Scientific Conference.

According to Yusuf Muhammed Jamiu, Physician and President of the Association, the free healthcare initiative is aimed at giving back to the society and providing much-needed medical services to the community.

The outreach targeted approximately 150 to 200 beneficiaries and was well-received by the community, with people of all ages, including the elderly, middle-aged, and children, turning out to receive free medical care and eye surgeries.

The Association's efforts to provide free medical services to the community are a testament to its commitment to giving back to the society and promoting the health and well-being of the people.

While appreciating the members of the Association who have worked tirelessly to provide quality healthcare services to the patients despite the challenges confronting them, he equally lauded their partners and sponsors such as Ladim, Prime Health, Feolu, General Drugs Stores, Yusuf Ali Foundation, KAMWIRE among others who supported them.
