Date: 2024-07-29

According to a news report from Kwara State Fire Service Facebook Page, the Kwara State Fire Service swiftly responded to a fire at Halbash Bakery, Ita-Elepa junction, Ilorin, on Sunday, July 28th, 2024, at approximately 17:44 hours.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the traditional bakery engulfed in flames. Despite the severity of the blaze, the courageous firefighters battled the inferno, gaining control by 18:18 hours and eventually extinguishing it.

The prompt response of the Kwara State Fire Service successfully prevented the fire from spreading to the modern electric oven and spared nearby buildings from the flames.

Investigations revealed that the fire originated from the traditional oven, exacerbated by logs of wood in close proximity.

Prince Falade John, Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, extended his sympathies to the victims, expressing hope for their swift recovery and the restoration of their losses.
