Kwara State Engages Stakeholders and Vigilante Heads in Cluster Farming Initiative

According to a news report from Leadership, the Kwara State government convened a meeting with stakeholders and heads of vigilante groups to discuss the cluster farming initiative.

The state's Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs Oloruntoyosi Thomas, stated that the initiative aims to achieve food sufficiency in Kwara and across the country.

She highlighted the meeting's purpose to deliberate on the best model for achieving self-sufficiency in food production within the state.

Describing cluster farming as a catalyst for ensuring food security and the protection of lives and property, the commissioner underscored the importance of stakeholders in disseminating the initiative's goals.

She also emphasised the critical role of vigilante groups in the project, noting their proven effectiveness in previous programmes and soliciting their continued support for the initiative's success.
