Kwara Governor Extends Warm Felicitations to Muslims Ahead of Eid-al-Adha

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended his warm felicitations to the Muslim community ahead of the Eid-al-Adha ceremony, praying for Allah's blessings on the Muslim ummah and guidance towards the path of goodness.

According to a news report from Voice of Nigeria, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor also congratulated the pilgrims, especially those from Kwara State, whose Hajj rites culminated with their gathering and prayers at Mount Arafah on Saturday.

The governor prayed for Allah to accept their spiritual journey, reward them with Paradise, and grant them safe travels back to their homes.

Meanwhile, the governor has urged the Muslim community to reflect on the lessons of Hajj and the festivities around it, such as the virtues of patience, sacrifice, piety, faith in God, justice and fairness, support for one another, and persistent reliance on the Creator in all areas of our lives.

“In Kwara, the Governor welcomes our people back home for the sallah festivities and different sociocultural activities. A lot has been done to make everyone comfortable and safe, even as different recreational areas are open for people to have a pleasant, memorable time.

“As we journey across the state, we are certain to come across huge construction sites, which may slow down vehicular traffic. His Excellency appeals for patience as these projects are part of our rural-urban transformation efforts, all geared towards improving socioeconomic development, improving travel time, beautifying our communities, and boosting life expectancy for our people.”
