EFCC Arrests 25 Suspected for Alleged Internet Fraud

According to a news report from This Day, operatives from the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained 25 individuals over suspected involvement in internet fraud activities during the weekend.

A statement released by the anti-graft agency, signed by Mr. Dele Oyewale, the Head of Media and Publicity, outlined that the arrests were made during two separate sting operations across various locations in Ilorin, Kwara State. The action followed credible intelligence regarding the activities of suspected internet fraudsters in the area.

The statement disclosed that among the items recovered from the suspects were six luxury cars, along with various models of phones and laptops.

Furthermore, it was stated that following the completion of ongoing investigations, the suspects will be brought before the court for arraignment.
