Al-Hikmah University Matriculates 1,214 Students Amidst Calls for Integrity and Progress
According to reports from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State, a total of 1,214 students were formally welcomed into the university for the 2024/2025 academic session during the institution's 19th matriculation ceremony.
Addressing the new students, Vice Chancellor Prof Noah Yusuf delivered a stern warning against involvement in anti-social activities such as drug abuse, cultism, examination malpractice, theft, and other misconducts, affirming a zero-tolerance policy towards such behaviors.
Prof Yusuf underscored the significance of upholding high moral standards while pursuing academic excellence, urging the students to make the most of their time and concentrate on their studies.
During the matriculation lecture, a historic first for the university, Professor Oguntola Jelil Alamu from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Osun State University, Osogbo, delivered his address remotely. He encouraged the students to embrace change and actively engage in the nation's economic transformation.
