NOA To Unveil National Value Charter For Nigerians Soon — Issa-Onilu
The newly appointed director-general of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Lanre Issa-Onilu, has said that the agency would unveil a relatable national value charter for Nigerians in due course.
Issa-Onilu, who took to his Facebook page on Sunday to disclose the initiative, also said that he has energised the structures of the agency within just two weeks of his appointment towards achieving the new vision.
The Kwara-born trained journalist cum politician also said that contrary to what many Nigerians think of NOA, the Management and staff he met at the agency were top-class workers who understood their responsibilities.
The NOA boss, who did not provide details of the charter, however, added that they have put together a thematic national value concept, including constituting a Technical Working Committee (TWC) with membership drawn across sectors and demographics.
“I am two weeks old as the DG of the National Orientation Agency (NOA). Contrary to what many Nigerians think, the Management and staff I met at the NOA are top-class workers who understand their responsibilities. The Directors and staff have built up enormous know-how over the years, making my job easier.
“The Minister and I understand the expectations Nigerians have of NOA. We have clear ideas of what we want to do to deliver on the mandate of the agency and the confidence the President places in us.
“I have energised the NOA structures in two weeks towards our new vision. The system is ready to rock and roll. We have put together a thematic national value concept. We have constituted a Technical Working Committee (TWC) with membership drawn across sectors and demographics, knocking down theories into practicable details. The process of conceptualising our ideas has reached an advanced stage. We will be unveiling a relatable national value charter in due course,” Issa-Onilu stated.
