Date: 2023-10-17

A Point of Sale (POS) operator, Nurudeen AbdulSalam, has been kidnapped in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The incident, it was gathered, occurred on Friday when the victim, 28, was returning home around 10pm on Sobi Road.

The father of the victim, AbdulSalam Muraina Tosho, narrated the incident to City & Crime on Monday.

The father said, “He complained of malaria at the shop and went for an injection and was advised to go home and rest. His partner at the shop told him to take an Okada but he said he would trek.

“That was the last we heard about him until the phone call by his abductors. They called yesterday demanding a N100,000 ransom. I pleaded to pay half of it; that I am a pensioner.

“They sent me one Premium Trust Bank account to forward the money to and said they would tell me where to pick him. But I have heard nothing up till now.”

Tsoho added that, “One of my sons went missing five years ago and is yet to be found. I reported both cases at the police headquarters.”

When contacted, the police spokesman in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi, said he would check and get back to our reporter.
