Hajj 2023: Kwara State Completes Airlifting Of All Pilgrims
The Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has completed the airlift of the final batch of its intending pilgrims from the state to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2023 hajj exercise.
The Board has now airlifted all the 3,590 Kwara State pilgrims, ending all speculations that many of the intending pilgrims will not make the trip again.
The last batch was led by the Estu of Patigi, Alhaji Umar Bologi, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, the executive secretary, Barrister Muritala Sambo and Alhaji Dan Magoro, Former Special Assistant, Religion to the state governor.
According to the Amirul Hajj, all the Pilgrims landed in Madina to visit some significant historic places including the prophetic mosque, the graveyard of the Prophet and some of his companions.
Alhaji Bologi appealed to the pilgrims to obey all the laid-down rules and regulations guiding their stay in the Holy Land.
He urged them to be focused on the main purpose of embarking on the journey, avoid all illegal and illegitimate dealings and conduct themselves in a civilized manner in order not to tarnish the enviable image of the State and Nigeria at large.
Also in his remarks, the chairman of the Board, Dr. Abdulkadir Shambaki expressed his delight and gratitude to Almighty Allah over the privilege the Board has to have so far airlifted all its Pilgrims to the Holy land before the closure of both Madina and Jeddah entrances.
He urged the Pilgrims to always attend all the enlightenment programmes being organised by the Board with a view to preparing themselves for the subsequent Hajj rites.
