KWASIEC Board Resumes Duty, Sues for Cooperation
Members of the newly inaugurated board of the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC), have resumed duty with a call for maximum cooperation from Staff of the Commission.
The seven-man board, led by its Chairman, Okanla Muhammed Baba made the call today at the KWASIEC office, during his maiden meeting with the staff of the commission.
The Chairman, who pledged to uplift the commission, told the staff that he was happy to be part of the train of change in the commission.
“I am very grateful to the Almighty Allah for this privilege given to me even as I equally laud the number one man in the State, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for such honour bestowed on me and my team members to lead the board of this great commission and promise never to disappoint him on this responsibility we are saddled with”, Baba said.
He enjoined the staff to be up and doing and give maximum cooperation to the board in order to achieve maximum results as expected by all.
The electoral boss, who also appreciated the staff of the commission for holding forth and ensuring its progress till date, promised to work together with them for a better KWASIEC.
"I therefore enjoin us to be up and doing, punctual and deliver our statutory duties as expected of us, and be sure to give us the maximum cooperation you can give for the benefit of the commission", he added.
Responding, the Secretary of the Commission, Mr. kuranga Yero thanked the Chairman and his team, pledging the unflinching support of staff of the commission for onward progress and success of the board.
Other members of the board who were present at the meeting include; Edret Abel Sabi; Engr. Hassan Taiye Salami; Mrs. Gbadeyan Gbadura Yomi; Mallam Ndama Al-hassan; Hajia Saka Balqees Kehinde; and Engr. Abdullah Janet Amudat.
