The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, has congratulated Mr Abdulateef Ahmed of "The Herald" Group of Newspapers on his election as the new Chairman of the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The Vice-Chancellor also commended other contestants for the spirit of sportsmanship they displayed before, during and after the elections, saying that the larger society has a lot to learn from the way journalists in Kwara State conducted themselves.
