Senator Rafiu condoles Kwarans, govt, over death of former deputy governor

The former Kwara South Senator, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, has commiserated with the immediate family of the deceased, the people and government of Kwara State over the death of a former deputy governor of the state and Asiwaju of Igosun land, Chief (Deacon) Simon Adedeji Sayomi.

Chief Sayomi, who served as the deputy governor of the state between 1999 and 2003, passed on Wednesday 16th December, 2020, aged 94.

"The deceased was an experienced politician, administrator and elder statesman whose wisdom and wealth of experience will greatly be missed," the senator said. He described Baba Sayomi as a bridge builder and a community developer who served his people at different levels.

Senator Rafiu prayed God Almighty to give his family and the entire state the fortitude to bear the loss.
