Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state. The Kwara State government has advised youth in the state to put more energy and invest in entrepreneurship development to address the issue of unemployment affecting them. The Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi stated this on Wednesday in Ilorin while receiving the executive and members of Oro-Ago Descendants Union led by its National President, Elder Olatunji Kadir.

He said, "People would be empowered particularly the youth to make them contribute their quota to the economic development of their family and the State.

"I want to challenge our youth to have new mind set towards entrepreneurship rather than embracing thuggery that would soil their names and their careers," he noted. Alabi noted that necessary attention would be given to the road and culvert leading to the Oro-Ago town to make it passable for easy transportation of goods and services.

He urged communities in Oro land to be united to attract development and use their educational advantage to industrialise the areas. Earlier, Elder Kadir lauded the government for its willingness to move the state to the next level and promised the government of their total support and loyalty.

The ODU National President called for the upgrading of their Royal Father and the intervention of the State government in some challenges facing the area and the inclusion of Oro-Ago people in governance.
