PDP Members Hold Rally in Support of Saraki, Ahmed's Defection in Ilorin

Thousands of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State Thursday staged a peaceful rally in support of the recent defection of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and other notable leaders of the former members of All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP.

The group, who were mainly Saraki's supporters and other PDP members in the state were armed with various placards with inscriptions like "APC without Saraki is Dead in Kwara", "APC Betrayed Saraki, Ahmed", "No Place for APC in Kwara" and "PDP Remains Only Party in Nigeria", among others.

The rally, which kicked off from Stadium, Ilorin, took the members across major streets of Ilorin, the state capital, like Taiwo, Ita Amodu, Emirs Road, Oja-Oba, Post Office and ended at the Government House, Ilorin.
