KWASU partners IEYDA on women empowerment

The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association, (IEYDA), in conjunction with the Kwara State University Center for Community Development, has empowered fifty grassroots women with cash and various food items to boost their petty business.

The gesture was to make beneficiaries self-sustaining self-reliant and self-sufficient. The programme was held at the KWASU's main office, along Sango Road Ilorin.

According to a statement signed by the Public Relation Officer of IEYDA, Maam Mohammed Uthman Jagunma, the KWASU Vice-Chancellor who was repesented by Professor Saka Muhmud during the Presentation, advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity to better their lives and to reduce heavy dependence on government and the State. The directorr Kwara State University Center for Community development, Mr. Lawal Olohugbebe thanked institutional for touching their lives and making sure that people at the grassroots got a better way of live.
