Emir of Ilorin supports 2017 Census
Emir of llorin, Alhaji lbrahim Sulu-Gambari Thursday pledged to rally traditional rulers in Kwara State to ensure the success of 2017 Census exercise in the state.
Gambari, who made the pledge while receiving the Management staff of the National Population Commission (NPC) in Kwara at his palace, described accurate and reliable Census as one of the indices of development.
The monarch advised the residents of the state to cooperate with the Commission in its effort to produce accurate and reliable census in the state and prayed for the successful conduct of the exercise.
Leader of the NPC Management, the NPC Federal Commissioner in the state, Alhaji Abubakar Ndakene, told the traditional ruler they were at the palace to solicit his support for the commencement of area demarcation for 2017 census in the state and assured residents that the Commission has put necessary machinery for the successful conduct of 2017 census.
The Olusin of lsanlu lsin, Oba Solomon Oloyede was among dignitaries at the Emir's Palace during the NPC Management's courtesy call.
