Unilorin Organises 3rd International Students' Day

The Director, Centre for International Education University of Ilorin, Professor Olugbenga Mokolu has enjoined the University of Ilorin community and members of the general public to participate in the 3rd international students' day.

Professor Mokolu stated this while participating on a special interactive secession on UNILORIN 89.3 FM

He said the Centre for International Education was established to demonstrate the universality of the University of Ilorin, adding that essentially the centre is set out to ensure global best practices in higher education.

Professor Mokolu expressed that the centre facilitates issues of international staff exchange, foreign student's admission, exchange programme and co-ordinate them into the consciousness of the entire university system.

He added that the centre also communicates the habit and behavior that belongs to the ethics of global relationship and practices that represent the norms of behavior across the world.

Professor Mokolu stressed further that the centre which has forty three academic and non-academic international staff, has hundred students across the world.

He also added that the center has representation from fifteen countries like Cameroun, Benin, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Niger, Pakistan, Sierra Lone, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Senegal, Italy, United States of America and India.

Professor Mokolu said the international students' day is for people to know the essence of this type of mobility within the academic system, the opportunities for the mobility and to show-case their culture.
