Kwara procures 42 buses to enhance transportation services

Forty two new buses have been procured for the Harmony Transport Service Limited in Kwara State to further enhance its transportation services.

The Group Managing Director, Harmony Holding Nigeria Limited, Ilorin Mr. Tope Daramola stated this during a chat with VON

He explained that the buses would be commissioned by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.

The Group Managing Director pointed out that the operation of Harmony Express has been rejuvenated ranging from electronic ticket mechanism to ad staff training among others.

According to him, the edict establishing Harmony Express has be repealed by the State House of Assembly to improve its services.

Mr. Daramola also debunked the rumour that Harmony Holdings is a private establishment pointing out that no single individual is a shareholder of the company.

He explained that Harmony Holdings belongs to the State Government with the subsidiaries of Investment property Development Company, Harmony Security Limited, Kwara Football Academy and Insurance Brother Limited saddled with the responsibility of boosting the Internally Generated Revenue of the State.

Mr. Daramola gave the assurance that the company would continue to play its supervisory role in ensuring a better service delivery of government agencies under its watch.

The Group managing Director noted that the restructuring of Harmony Express would not lead to retrenchment of its workforce adding that the company has injected huge amount of money towards improving the welfare of workers.
