Jonathan, Buhari in closed-door meeting at Aso Rock
President Goodluck Jonathan and the president-elect, retired General Muhammadu Buhari, met behind closed doors on Friday at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting, which security officials said was strictly private, held at the New Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
This was the first time Buhari of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and Jonathan of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) would meet after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) certified the former as winner of Saturday's presidential election.
President Jonathan had since congratulated Buhari on his victory.
