Why Shao people'll vote for Gov Ahmed - Wole Oke
The Chairman, Governing Council of Kwara State College of Education, Oro, Chief Wole Oke, said yesterday that the people of Shao town in Moro Local Government Area were committed to the re-election bid of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed because the ancient town got its own share of dividends of democracy undertaken by the present administration.
Ahmed is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said it is in the government of Ahmed that the people could proudly count their blessings accrued to them in the last 16 years of democratic governance in the state.
Oke, in a statement he personally signed and made available to The Herald in Ilorin, listed renovation of Shao basic health centre, construction of doctor's residential quarters at the centre, renovation of four classrooms at the Government Day Secondary School, commencement of work on the rehabilitation of township roads, launching and operation of National Health Insurance Scheme and attraction of MDG-sponsored motorized borehole among others as the main reason the people of Shao town would support the coming back of Ahmed.
He also pledged that the people would vote massively for all candidates of the APC in the elections.
