Gata brothers to lead attack for Kwara Utd
The news gathered by SL10 have it that Gata brothers, Ismaila Adeshina Gata and Adeshina Issa Gata will be leading the attack of the Kwara based club in their return to top flight league in Nigeria.
The elder brother of Gata family, Ismaila is a regular name in Nigeria being one of the most travelled players in Nigeria League.
Ismaila Gata has once played for Kwara United under Coach Justin Tenger before having stints with clubs like ABS FC, Shooting Stars, Enyimba and FC Kukesi of Albania.
The younger Gata is a product of Kwara Football Academy, who was given a chance to exploit in the league by Coach Samson Unuanel and was instrumental to Kwara United’s return to the apex league in the country.
An insider of the club who disclosed to SL10 noted that the club is glad to have the two talented brothers in their fold adding that with both in the attack; defenders will be in for much trouble against Kwara United.
“Honestly, it’s a good thing that Kwara United got the two of them, it’s wonderful seeing them playing together, it’s as if they have been together for long, their partnership at the training was fantastic and I believe it will be like that in the league, they will definitely put their opponents in great trouble in the league,” the source said.
Ismaila Gata who last played for Kogi United last season after his short sojourn in Albania was one of the new players expected to join Kwara United with the likes of Ibrahim Abdullahi (ABS FC) and Nasiru Ali (Kano Pillars).
With the deal sailing through, Kwara United join the clubs in Nigeria to have two brothers playing together.
The likes of Gary Neville and Phill Neville, Rafaelda Silva and Fabio da Silva and Frank de Boer and Ronald de Boer have once played together for a club.
