Kwara Utd eye debut win at Dolphins
Kwara United head coach, Tunde Abdulrahman has said his side are confident of three maximum points at Dolphins.
The Afonja Warriors will be the guests of Dolphins in Saturday’s 2014/15 Glo Premier League season opener at Adokiye Amiasimeka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
Abdulrahman said his side quite appreciate the enormity of the task in Port Harcourt and have prepared adequately for the expected difficult game.
“We’re ready for the clash, we know the big task ahead of us in the season’s opening tie against Dolphins.
“It’s our dearest dream to win our first game of the season which doubles as the first game upon our return to the Nigerian top flight.
“The scenario under which the encounter will take place suits us perfectly as it’ll be the focus of everybody.
“It’s the star match of the new league season and we’re happy to be involved and I’m pretty sure we won’t disappoint at the end of the day.
“It’s certain to be a difficult game given the tough pedigree of the opponents but I know for sure that we've hardened the players to withstand the banters Dolphins will throw at them.
“I’m quite confident that we won’t leave Port Harcourt empty-handed.
“The just concluded Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four tournament and other top grade friendly matches have prepared us for the comeback campaign in the elite league.
“I assure that Kwara United won’t add up to the numbers but will dutifully contest for the league title,” said the former Wikki Tourists coach to supersport.com.
Kwara United are among the four teams that gained promotion to the elite league in the out gone 2013/14 NNL season. Others are Wikki Tourists, 3SC and Gabros FC (Ifeanyi Ubah United).
