Kwara NUJ re-names Press Centre Olusola Saraki Pen House

Date: 2014-11-19

The Kwara State council of Nigeria Union of Journalists has renamed its Secretariat in Ilorin, the state capital after the late Waziri of Ilorin and strong man of Kwara politics, Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki.

The press centre is now to be known as Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki Pen House.

The State chairman of the NUJ, Mallam Abiodun Abdulkareem, made this known in Ilorin on Monday at the second distinguished commemorative colloquim for late Waziri of Ilorin organised by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) National Secretariat in collaboration with the state council of the NUJ.

Abdulkareem said the council decided to name the Press Centre after the late political kingpin after its consultation with the National Secretariat.

The colloquim was instituted by the NUJ to immortalize the late Waziri of Ilorin on account of his contribution to the development of the state and country as a whole.
