Women for Change and Development Initiative Distributes Empowerment Materials In Kwara

Kwara State Women took their turn, to enjoy the benevolence of Nigeria's first Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan's Non Governmental Organization, Women for Change and Development Initiative with the distribution of empowerment materials. The beneficiaries drawn from all the local government areas of the state. Speaking at the distribution of the materials, the first Lady said the empowerment programme was a continuation of her contribution to poverty alleviation which is a cardinal objective of the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan. Dame Patience Jonathan said Nigerian Women remain indebted to President Jonathan for being trustworthy and keeping his promise to them 35 percent positions in his administration. The wife of Kwara state governor Omolewa Ahmed joined by her counterparts form kogi, Benue and Cross River state commended the first Lady for siding with the less privileged and putting Women empowerment on the front burner. The Minister of National Planning Dr. Abubakar Suleiman, Business Woman Bola Shagaya and other prominent kwara declared support for President Goodluck Jonathan.
