Saraki has made right choice for Kwara - Adebiyi
The decision to dump the Peoples Democratic (PDP) for the All Progressive Party (APC) has been described as the right political decision for the development of Kwara in the emerging political development in Nigeria.
This was the submission of the former members of the Peoples Democratic in Offa Local Government in a town hall meeting facilitated by the party Chieftain, Alhaji AbdulHakeem Kayode Adebiyi, held at the former PDP secretariat on Friady.
Adebeyi stated that the decision by the leadership of the party to defect to the APC was not hurriedly done , adding that several opportunities to resolve the critical issues leading to the defection was explored of which the PDP leadership failed to addressed.
He described Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki as a blessing to Kwara and Nigeria, in his determination to deepening the democratic values in the polity by being resolute on the decision to enhance democracy in Nigeria.
In the event that the impending issues are resolved by the PDP , Adebiyi categorically stated that any decision reached by the leadership under the auspices of Senator Saraki would be popularly accepted by the people.
According to Adebiyi, Kwarans believe in the political philosophy of Olusola Saraki which is being propagated by the heir, Senator Bukola Saraki, and as such the political structure in Kwara is not threatened.
He urged the party faithful to continue to support the Government of Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed, adding that more strategic development would accrue the area.
The event had in attendance the Executive Chairman of Offa Local Government Area, Prince AbdulWaheed Segun Olanipekun (FCA,ACTI); Alhaji Goke Rabiu, Engr. Kola Shittu, Alhaji Tajudeen Alabi, Hon. Muraina Ayantola, Alhaji Isiaka Shittu and many party members.
