Press Release: Saraki Completes Rehabilitation of Jalala-Gago Road, Tanke, Ilorin

As part of his constituency project to ameliorate the sufferings of the masses in the development of Infrastructures across Ilorin and its metropolis; the Chairman Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki representing Kwara Central Senatorial District has expressed his delight at the completion of the Ajala-Gago road rehabilitation project.

Dr Saraki reckoned that the transformation of the damaged Jala-Gago road is a welcomed development that will reduce the pressure on the existing structure and make way for easy passage of waste water to prevent flooding. The project was well received and applauded by the community and their community leaders.

The damaged section of the line drains were also repaired with in-filled and cemented block walls throughout the road length. Construction of Earth drainage system was provided at other sections of the road while access culverts were also provided on different locations of the road.

Also, the base course was regulated with cambering formation for easy storm water discharge to the drainage system. The regulated road surface was compacted with compacting machine (roller) to ensure stability and durability of the road. This consequently brought the earthworks on the road to a completion and ready for use.

Senator Saraki, on a tour of the completed projects in the state, expresses his admiration for the Tank community youths development for their patience and support for the government. He promised to continue to interact with them often and monitor projects that will improve their living conditions.

The Distinguished Senator conveys his profound gratitude to the Ministry of Works, the Honourable Commissioner of Works &Transport and the community leaders for their visionary leadership while pledging to spread development across the crannies of the political zones in the State.
