Ahmed, Atunwa mourn Jidas's death

The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji (Dr) Abdulfatah Ahmed has commiserated with the family of late Amosa Jida, the Peoples Democratic Party elder in the state just as he described his death as a huge loss to the state in general.
Governor Ahmed, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, noted that the late  Jida was a loyal, dedicated and resourceful member of the PDP whose wealth of political experience contributed to the success and achievements of the state government.
The governor thanked God that the late Jida lived a life of dedication to Allah and upliftment of humanity and urged his children and well relatives to continue the good works of the deceased.
Dr Ahmed prayed Allah to grant Alhaji Jida aljannat firdaous and give the those he left behind the fortitude to bear the lost.
In his condolence message, the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki described the death of late Jida as great loss to the family, Ilorin and Kwara State.
"I received with heavy heart the passing of Alhaji Amosa Jida, a respected community leader in Ilorin an astute politician and close associate of our late father, Dr Olusola Saraki.
May Allah Subuhanau Watahala forgive the man his sins and grant him Aljanat Fridaus" Saraki prayed.
Also in his condolence message, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barr. Razak Atunwa, described his death as a colossal loss to people of Ilorin Emirate in particular and the state at large.
The Speaker made the observation in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Alhaji AbdulRahaman Sanni, said the deceased who was an associate of the late political icon, Dr Olusola Saraki, had played significant role in the political emancipation of the state in particular and the stability of the country.
He said late Jida who was a retired Customs Officer had played a pivotal role in ensuring the stability of the Nation.
While saying that the deceased will be remembered for his humility, piety, and politics of consensus, Atunwa urged the family of the deceased to imbibe his sterling quality so as to sustain his good legacies.
He therefore condoled with the state Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari; the state Turaki of Ilorin, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the immediate family over his demise praying to give them the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the deceased Aljanat Fridaus.
Late Jida died on Monday night at St. Nicholas hospital, Lagos, Lagos state at the age of 76 years.
Meanwhile, late Jida was yesterday buried in accordance with Islamic injunction in Jida’s Compound, Eruda area Ilorin where the Janazat prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammed Bashir.
The janazat which attracted scores of eminent personalities across the state was attended by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
Other personalities included members of National Assembly, Hon. Ali Ahmad and his counterpart Hon. Amman Patigi; the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Muhammed Toyin Sanusi; the state PDP Chairman Alhaji Ishola Balogun Fulani; the chairman state local government Commission, Alhaji Kayode Yusuf Maja and others.
