Blindness: Medical Expert Advises Nigerians on Frequent Check-Ups
A consultant ophthalmologist at the university of Ilorin and Sobi specialist hospital, Dr Yinka Jato has advised Nigerians to always go for medical check ups in other to prevent blindness.
Dr Jato who made the call at the 2013 press week of the Nigerian Union Journalist (NUJ) held at the kwara state NUJ press centre said there is the need for every one above thirty six years to visit the clinics for examinations.
According to him, if symptoms are discovered early enough, eye blindness would be prevented .Royal times reports that the medical experts explained that diabetics and hypertension could also lead to so defects in eye sight.
He however, advised Nigerians to regularly check their eye sight.
