Kwara Govt Pledges to Employ all Indigenous First Class Graduates
The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to employ all the indigenes of the state that obtained first class from any institution of learning across the country.
The Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Alhaji Sakariyau Babatunde, who disclosed this in Ilorin during a courtesy call to Royal FM, said Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has recently approved the employment of 500 graduates in the area of teaching through KWABES.
The SA, however, debunked the rumour that the Kwara States Bridge Empowerment Scheme (KWABES) has been politicized, saying the programme was created for everyone across the state in order to solve unemployment crisis, noting that the engagement of micro finance bank has assisted in the disbursement of loans to the youths.
Speaking on skill acquisition, he said government has also directed the state Ministry of Tertiary Education to carry out assessment on skill centres that have minimum of 10 apprentices in order come up with curriculum that fit into modern demand and obtain the state certified certificate.
Speaking on behalf of the founder of Royal FM and Royal Times online, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo, the General Manger (GM) of Communication Network Support Services Limited (CNSSL), Mr Debo Ajiga, commended the state governor for his steadfastness.
“It is the people like Kwara State Governor that gave the hope that all is not lost for Nigeria with the steps he has taken,” the GM said.
