Late Kwara CP to be Buried on Friday

Date: 2013-04-12

The remains of the Kwara State Commissioner of police, Mr. Chinwike Asadu will be laid to rest on Friday at his country home, Amukwa, Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Funeral activities lined up for the late Asadu showed that he would be interred after a mass at St John’s Catholic Church Onuiyi, Nsukka.

Speaking to DailyPost, a close relation of the former Kwara police boss lamented the inability of security agents to track down his killers more than one month after he was killed by suspected assassins.

He said: “We are going to bury our brother this week with serious agony in our hearts.

“It is so sad that his death has also joined the backlog of unresolved murders in the country. We feel so sad that a man in the person of police CP could be killed in such manner and there is no traces have been made to his killers.

“We are deeply pained about this and I also know that Asadu will not be happy wherever he is”.

It could be recalled that Asadu was murdered by unknown gunmen last month at his Amorji Nike residence in Enugu State.
