Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kwara State, has formally declared his intention to vie for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The announcement was conveyed via a video clip posted on his verified Facebook account on Monday.

In the footage, the governor's media aide explained that his decision came after thorough consultations with party members, stakeholders, and political leaders across the three local government areas that make up the constituency.

He emphasised that his ambition is anchored on a commitment to deliver purposeful and impactful representation for the people of the area.

Ajakaye further appealed to constituents to lend their support to his candidacy as preparations intensify towards the 2027 general elections.
