The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Tanke Division of Kwara State Command, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, organised a free medical and eye screening exercise for residents of Tanke and neighbouring communities in Ilorin.

The outreach formed part of the Division's 3rd Annual Get-Together programme, aimed at strengthening community engagement and promoting public health.

The programme, held at the Tanke Divisional Headquarters, offered beneficiaries free medical tests, eye screening, and prescription glasses. Qualified medical personnel were on hand to provide professional care and health advice. The exercise recorded a large turnout, with participants commending the Division for its commitment to community service.

Speaking during the Awards Presentation and Get-Together event, Tanke Divisional Officer, SC Oyinloye Gabriel, praised the State Commandant, Dr Umar J.G. Mohammed, for his consistent support, noting that his leadership has contributed to the Division's growth, efficiency, and effective service delivery.

SC Gabriel added that the outreach underscores the Corps' dedication to giving back to the community and improving the health and wellbeing of residents.

The day's activities concluded with an Awards Presentation and Get-Together Party at the Amazing Grace Event Centre, Tanke, Ilorin, where former Divisional Officers and other deserving personnel were honoured for their contributions to the Division's development.
