38 Freed CAC Worshippers Rejoin Families in Eruku Town After Dramatic Rescue from Bandits

Date: 2025-12-04

The 38 freed worshippers of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku Town in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State have finally rejoined their families.

The affected worshippers arrived back in Eruku town on Tuesday night amidst cheering from family, community members, and well-wishers who trooped out to receive them.

The worshippers were abducted, and three others were killed, on November 18 by suspected bandits during a special thanksgiving prayer session at the church in Eruku.

They were successfully rescued by security agencies with the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA). The state government ensured they received medical attention before returning home.
