The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has felicitated with DCP Yusuf Ajape Abdullateef and DCP Nurudeen Raheem on their promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his spokesman, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described the elevation as a call to greater responsibility urging the officers to serve with integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property across Nigeria.

He expressed profound gratitude to the Nigeria Police leadership under Inspector General of Police Dr. Kayode Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission for recognising the excellence of two distinguished sons of the Ilorin Emirate.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari extended his goodwill to all newly promoted officers nationwide, calling on them to remain steadfast in their duty and to uphold the unity and security of the nation.

He described CPs Yusuf Ajape Abdullateef and Nurudeen Raheem as accomplished security experts who, in their previous roles, demonstrated exceptional service, professionalism, and dedication to the sanctity of the police force.

The monarch however advised them to remain hardworking in order to reflect the good conducts and patriotism inherent in them as good ambassadors of the Ilorin Emirate, proud Nigerians and global citizens of high repute.

He prayed Almighty Allah to grant them the wisdom and absolute protection to discharge their duties diligently for the good of the people and government of Nigeria.
