According to Royal News, the Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing urban development across the state by engaging in collaborative efforts with key stakeholders, organisations, and individuals.
Amb. Shehu Usman Ndanusa, Commissioner for Youth Development, emphasised this commitment during a meeting with members of the Kwara State Phone, Computer and Accessories Dealers Association in his office today.
Ambassador Ndanusa conveyed that the government remains open to synergies with all sectors, reinforcing that such partnerships are crucial in realising the state's development goals. He further encouraged the association to support government initiatives by fulfilling their roles effectively.
According to him “the government has engaged in massive urban development which will cut across every sector of the State.”
He said the Phone, Computer and Accessories Dealers Association should take the cue and position themselves well to work hand in hand with the State government in actualizing the project of urban renewal.
The Commissioner stressed that the construction of the International Conference Centre, ICT Hub, Ilorin Film Factory, among others are all part of the developmental strides the government is putting in place to create more job opportunities for youths.
The organization's Chairman, Alao Semiu, who commended the State government for embarking on the urban renewal development, and the construction of state-of-the-art facilities, requested for a computer village, where all members of the organization can do their businesses.
He noted that having a place of their own will create more job opportunities for youths and generate revenue for the State.
