According to a news report from Daily Trust, an abandoned newborn baby boy has been discovered at the dumpsite of Kulende Market near Estate Bridge in Ilorin East LGA, Kwara State.

His condition is pretty stable. We assure the ministry that we will give it all our best to see that considerable care is given, and due process will be followed.”
Reacting also, Hon Afolashade who noted that her ministry had the mandate to take care of the baby and other vulnerable groups, urged the police to ensure that the baby received adequate medical treatment and released to the ministry for custody at the Childrens' Reception Centre in consonance with the ministry's law.
