The intense match, held at the Kwara Stadium Complex in Ilorin for Matchday 31, saw Kwara United displaying resilience after their recent 2-1 away triumph over Gombe United.
With this victory, Kwara United climbed to the 12th position on the NPFL standings, amassing 39 points after Matchday 31, with one outstanding home game against Rivers United of Port Harcourt.
Despite a challenging start, Kwara United intensified their efforts as the game progressed, making strategic substitutions to bolster their attacking prowess. Shola Abdulraheem, the hero from their previous match against Gombe United, delivered a precise free-kick that was expertly nodded in by Emmanuel Ogbole during the 10th minute of extra time, securing the crucial winning goal.
Expressing gratitude to the fans and stakeholders for their unwavering support, the team's Chief Coach, Tunde Sanni, emphasized the need for continued hard work and determination in upcoming matches.
As they prepare for their next fixture against Doma United in Gombe on April 27 for Matchday 32, Kwara United aims to maintain their momentum and secure further victories in their quest for NPFL success. (NAN)
