Lagos Varsity Promotes Former Kwara College Provost, Olokoba to Associate Professorship
The immediate past Provost of the Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, CAILS, Dr. Olokoba Abdullahi Ayinla has been elevated to the post of an Associate Professor by the Lagos State University of Education, ljanikin.
Olokoba who is also the Chairman of the Unilorin Alumni, Kwara State Chapter has 75 Academic Publications and Conferences including five books.
Born in 1960, he attended Bayero University, Kano; University of Ilorin and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from where he obtained B.Ed, English, M.Ed Education Management and PhD Educational Administration and Planning.
He was also a student and later a Lecturer at CAILS where he was HOD English, HOD Education and General Studies, Director, Students Affairs,Deputy Provost Administration, Deputy Provost, Academic and later Provost.
The Associate Professor was also the Mayor, English Students Association, COED, llorin; Speaker, BUK Students Union Government; Secretary, Postgraduate Students Association at ABU Zaria and National President, Alumni association, KWACOED, Ilorin among others.
The former Provost who has since assumed duty at the Lagos State University of Education, ljanikin, belongs to many associations including Association of Nigerian Academics, Association of Nigerian Authors, Nigerian Association of Educational Planning and Administration and Nigerian Institute of Management among others.
He is happily married with children.
