He said the state emergency management agency has trained over 50 students on disaster management.

During the outgoing year, the special adviser said that the emergency relief committee has worked with other MDAs in the state to open up drainages in order to allow free flow of water

Abdullahi warned the people of the state against doing anything capable of igniting disasters in their domain.

He commended Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for his prompt response to disaster issues and also thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for the level of support the state had received from the federal government towards ameliorating the condition of flood victims.
